Officials

Check your roster of officials, who is ready to work, and how many of your games each can see.

Updated 2026-09-29 · Markdown version

Your roster of officials — the people you can assign to work games. Officials work across the whole platform, not just for you, which makes "why isn't this official seeing my games" a genuinely hard question to answer from the outside. This page exists to answer it: check who's in your Network, whether they're actually ready to work, and how many of your games they can currently see — all from your desk, without asking the official directly or signing in as them.

Workflow

  1. Find Officials

Search or filter by location, status, availability, or invitation source.

  2. Check Readiness

Review Standing, Visible games, and Availability before assigning.

  3. Take Action

Add them to your Network, contact them, or select several for a bulk message.

Sections

My Network vs. All Officials

My Network shows officials you have added to your Network or who were invited by you — your working roster and the default view. All Officials shows everyone on the platform you are allowed to see, including officials not yet in your Network.

My Network

The officials you actively work with. Most of the roster columns (Games, Visible games, Availability) are most useful here.

All Officials

Use this to discover and vet new officials before adding them to your Network.

Adding Someone to Your Network

Click the person icon next to a name to add or remove that official from your Network — it fills in when they're in, outlined when they're not. This works from either view: find them in All Officials, click the icon, and they'll appear in My Network going forward.

What Being in Your Network Actually Does

It's what makes a network-visibility game of yours show up in that official's app — the icon is the switch for that, nothing more. See the FAQ below for what adding someone you didn't invite does and doesn't change.

Narrow the roster using the filter bar:

Search by name, email, phone, city, or zip.

Categorical Filters

Filter by state, game type (when you use more than one), status (Approved/Pending/Denied), invited attribution (invited by me / not invited by me), or availability for this week and next week.

Has Issues

Check this box to show only officials with an outstanding problem — see Standing & Credentials below for what counts as an issue.

Apply

Click Search to apply your filters — a badge appears when filters have changed but haven't been applied yet. Click Reset to clear everything.

Roster Columns

Each row summarizes one official, left to right:

Name

Sortable. Carries the Network icon, an optional You badge, and credential letters (C/T/S) when relevant.

Contact

Email and phone. Phone numbers are tap-to-call on mobile.

Location

City, state, and zip on one line, parsed from the official’s profile.

Active

How long since the official's last visit to the app, with the exact date on hover.

Games

Worked / Scheduled — completed games over upcoming assignments, across the whole platform, not just with you.

Visible games

How many of your games this official can currently see and self-assign to or request in the mobile app. New — see the dedicated section below.

Availability

This week and next week, at a glance — see the Availability section below.

Standing

Sortable. The single worst thing about this official right now — see the section below.

Visible Games

How many of your games this official can currently see and self-assign to or request in the mobile app, right now — scoped to your own games. It does not include games the official can see through other coordinators' networks, since an official commonly works with more than one organization at once and this number should never leak what they're doing with someone else.

Why it exists

Before this column, the only way to check why an official wasn't seeing your games was to ask them or sign in as them via a temporary password. Now you can tell at a glance, for every official on the roster at once.

What it accounts for

Credentials for your game types, whether the official already holds a request on the game, whether the game is outdated or already fully staffed, and the game's own visibility setting (anyone vs. visible to your Network vs. invitation-linked).

A confirmed zero

Shown in red with a trailing * — a strong signal something is currently blocking this official from working with you. See the FAQ below for what to check.

An em dash

Means the number is unknown, not zero — the backend has not returned this field for this row yet.

Standing & Credentials

Standing collapses status, payout, and profile checks into one pill, showing only the single worst issue so you know what to act on first.

Ready

Green — no known issues.

Pending / Denied / Deleted

The official's account itself isn't active yet, was denied, or was removed.

Issues

Shown when the official is otherwise approved but missing something: Approval (not yet approved to work), a payout problem (Stripe account not connected, or Payout needs reconnect if it was flagged), or a missing Profile photo.

Credential Letters

C = Coordinator, T = App tester, S = Shadow eligible. Shown next to the name only when the official actually has that credential — most officials show none.

Network Icon Color

The Network icon turns red instead of green when an official already in your Network has an issue (approval, payout, or profile photo) that would actually block them from working a game for you.

Availability

Two columns, this week and next week, each showing how many days the official has marked:

Confirmed

Green — the official has locked in their availability for the week.

Submitted, not confirmed

Amber with a trailing * — days are marked but not yet finalized.

Away

The official has marked themselves unavailable for the whole week.

Nothing submitted

The official has not submitted availability for that week yet — this reads the same as no row at all.

Contacting Officials

Reach one or many officials without leaving this page. Only officials you personally invited can be selected — being in your Network is not enough on its own. See the FAQ below for why.

Bulk Select

Check the box on one or more rows, then use the floating action bar to Contact the selected officials. The checkbox only appears for officials you invited — everyone else's row has none, in either My Network or All Officials.

Contact All Invited

Use Contact all invited officials in the top right to message everyone you have personally invited, regardless of the current filter or selection.

FAQ

Why is an official's Visible games count zero?

A confirmed zero (shown as 0* in red) means this official currently cannot see or self-assign to any of your games. Check, in order:

  • Approval — is the official approved to work? An unapproved official sees nothing at all.
  • Credentials — does the official have what your game types need? A live game needs the official credential and a matching state; a test game needs the tester flag; a shadow game needs shadow eligibility; a paid game needs a connected Stripe account.
  • Network — for a network-visibility game, is this official actually in your Network? Being in a different coordinator's Network does not count toward your games.
  • Do you have any open games right now? — if none of your games are currently anyone or Network-visible to them, or if the ones that are have already gone outdated, become fully staffed, or already have a request from this official, zero is the correct answer.

This number is scoped to your own games on purpose — an official can be very active elsewhere on the platform and still show zero here if none of your games happen to be open to them right now.

Does Visible games match everything the official sees in their app?

No — it matches everything of yours they can see, not their whole app. Officials often work for multiple coordinators, and this count deliberately excludes games belonging to other coordinators so it never reveals another organization's activity through this official. If you need to know whether the official's app itself is broken (not just whether they see your games specifically), that still requires asking them.

What's the difference between Games and Visible games?

Games (worked/scheduled) is history and near-term commitments — what has already happened or is locked in, across the whole platform. Visible games is forward-looking and scoped to you — how many of your currently-open games this official could pick up right now if they opened the app.

Why can't I sort by Visible games?

Sorting this column would need the server to compute the sort order, and that support doesn't exist yet. In the meantime, use the Has issues filter or the State/Status filters to narrow the list, then scan the column — or watch for the red 0* cells, which are the ones worth a second look.

What happens if I add an official to my Network who I never invited?

Three real things change, and one thing you might expect to change does not:

  • They start seeing your Network-visibility games. Any game you've marked visible to your Network becomes visible to them in the app the moment you add them — this is the entire mechanism behind Network membership.
  • They stay visible to you even outside your usual filters. If your Admin Console settings restrict you to certain states or game-type credentials, an official in your Network shows up in your roster and stays eligible regardless — the same exemption invited officials get.
  • It's fully reversible. Removing them from your Network removes both effects going forward. It does not touch who invited them.
  • It does not let you contact them. Adding someone to your Network never grants the ability to message them — see the next question for what actually does.

In short: adding an uninvited official to your Network is a real, visible action with real consequences for what they can see and work — treat it the same as inviting them, not as a lightweight bookmark.

Can I contact an official I did not invite?

Not from this page, and being in your Network does not change that. The Contact button (both the bulk-select flow and Contact all invited officials) only ever offers officials you personally invited — the checkbox for selecting someone simply does not appear on any other row, whether you're viewing My Network or All Officials, and whether or not they're in your Network. If you need to reach an official who has worked one of your games but was invited by someone else, that's supported from that game's own page, not from the roster.

Why does the Network icon show red instead of green?

A red icon means this official is in your Network but has an outstanding issue — not approved to work, no connected payout account, or no profile photo — any of which would block them from actually working a game for you, even though they're in your Network.

Why don't I see all my officials?

The default view is My Network with no filters applied. Switch to All Officials to see everyone on the platform, or click Reset to clear any filters you have applied.
