Official Detail

See one official's profile, standing, and which of your games they can work, with reasons.

Updated 2026-09-29 · Markdown version

One official, seen the way they see themselves — profile, standing, and exactly which of your games they can currently work, with the specific reason for every one they can't. The roster's Visible games column tells you how many; this page is where you come to find out why.

Workflow

  1. Check the Profile

Confirm contact info, location, credentials, and overall Standing before digging further.

  2. Open Games

Click See details to load the games table — it stays collapsed until you ask for it, since most visits to this page never need it.

  3. Scan the Chips

The relative size of each status chip tells the story at a glance — one dominant reason usually explains most of what you're seeing.

  4. Investigate One Reason

Click a chip to filter down to just those games, or search by title if you're chasing one specific game.

Sections

Profile

The same identity and readiness information as the officials roster, for this one person:

Contact & Location

Email, phone, and the city/state/zip parsed from their profile.

Credentials

Shown only when non-default — Coordinator, App tester, or Shadow eligible. Most officials show Certified official and nothing else.

Standing

Ready, Pending, Denied, or a count of Issues — the same single-worst-thing pill as the roster. See the Officials page help for the full breakdown of what each issue means.

Games

Collapsed by default — this section exists for troubleshooting, not routine viewing, so it costs nothing until you click See details. Once open, it covers every one of your coordinator's own upcoming games this official was evaluated against, not just the ones they can see:

See details

Loads the games table for this official. The summary line above the button already shows how many games they can currently see, using the same count as the roster's Visible games column — no extra loading needed just to see that number.

Visible

Games this official can currently see and self-assign to or request in their app, right now.

Not visible

Everything else — each one excluded for a specific, named reason. See Status Meanings & Resolutions below for what each reason means and how to fix it.

The heading count

Games (N) at the top is the total candidate pool — visible and not-visible combined. It doesn't change when you filter or search; only the table below does.

Extra columns

Beyond the game and its date, each row also shows Sport, Type (Live, Shadow, Test, or Stripe), State, Visibility (Anyone, Network, or Unpublished for invitation-linked games), Location (venue, city, and zip), Crew (accepted officials vs. how many the game needs), and Payment (Remedy or On-site) — enough to verify a reason against the game itself, not just take the label on faith.

Narrow the list without losing the big picture:

Status Chips

All, Visible, and one chip per reason that actually applies — a reason with zero games has no chip. Each chip's count is a stable grand total, unaffected by search or which chip is currently selected.

Type part of a game title to find one specific game — combines with whichever chip is active.

Sort

Click Date to flip between soonest-first and latest-first.

Pagination

Prev/Next move through results 50 at a time when there are more than fit on one page.

Status Meanings & Resolutions

What each status actually means, and — where there is one — what fixes it:

Visible

Meaning: none of the reasons below apply — the official can see and request this game right now. Resolution: nothing to do.

Not in network

Meaning: the game is set to Network-only visibility, and this official is not in your Network. Resolution: add them to your Network from the officials roster (the person icon next to their name).

Unpublished

Meaning: the game itself is set to Unpublished visibility — it is never shown to any official for self-assignment or request, regardless of whether they're in your Network. Resolution: change the game's visibility to Network or Anyone if you want it to be requestable; adding this official to your Network will not change anything for this game.

Not approved to work

Meaning: the official's account has not been approved to work games yet. Resolution: approve the official — the same Approval issue shown on their Standing pill.

Outdated

Meaning: the game's scheduled start is more than 48 hours in the past. Resolution: none for that specific game — it has genuinely passed. Reschedule it if it still needs to be worked.

Fully staffed

Meaning: the game already has enough accepted officials. Resolution: wait for a slot to open, or increase how many officials the game needs.

Already requested

Meaning: the official already holds an active request on this game — it is intentionally excluded from "available to request" since they are already engaged with it. Resolution: none needed, this is not a problem.

Stripe required

Meaning: this is a Stripe-onboarding game, shown only to officials still completing payout setup — this official has already connected Stripe, so it no longer applies to them. Resolution: none, this is intentional, not an error.

Not a tester

Meaning: the game is a test game, and the official is not marked as a tester. Resolution: mark the official as a tester, if they should have access to test games.

State mismatch

Meaning: the official is not a live-eligible official in the game's state, or has no state on file. Resolution: the official updates their profile location, or their credentials/state are corrected.

Shadow ineligible

Meaning: the game is a shadow game, and the official is not marked shadow-eligible. Resolution: mark the official as shadow-eligible, if appropriate.

FAQ

Why is the Games section collapsed until I click See details?

This section exists for troubleshooting one official, not for routine viewing — most visits to this page never open it. Loading it costs a real request and database lookup, so it only happens once you actually ask for it by clicking See details. The collapsed summary's count is free either way — it's the same number the roster already fetched.

Why doesn't the Games count change when I click a status chip?

Games (N) and every chip's count are grand totals across all of your candidate games, unaffected by which chip or search term you currently have active — so they don't flicker as you filter. Only the table rows below them change.

Can this page show games from other coordinators?

No — every game evaluated on this page belongs to your coordinator account. An official who works for multiple coordinators may see games elsewhere in their own app that never appear here, by design.

I only see some of the reason chips I expected — why?

A reason only gets a chip when at least one game is currently excluded for it. If, say, nothing is excluded for Outdated, there is no Outdated chip to click — not a bug, just nothing in that bucket right now.

What does "Showing results from the first N candidate games" mean?

This coordinator has more upcoming games than the system evaluates in one pass. When you see this note, the counts and results above may be undercounts — there could be more games in any category than shown.

A game could match two reasons — which one does it show?

Only one reason is ever reported per game, in a fixed priority order: approval, then outdated, then fully staffed, then already requested, then credentials (Stripe/tester/state/shadow), then visibility (Not in network for a Network-visibility game, or Unpublished for the game itself). If you fix the reason shown and the game is still not visible, check again — a lower-priority reason may have been hidden underneath it.
